Cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or food mill.
Cheesy mashed potato casserole. Add the onion cheese herbs salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until tender. Blend with a blender until fluffy texture.
In a large saucepan cook potatoes in enough water to cover for 20 to 25 minutes or until tender. Place mashed potatoes in a 1 12 quart casserole dish. Preheat oven at 400 F 200 C.
Add in the butter sour cream and milk and mash until smooth and creamy. Coat the baking dish with some olive oil and empty potato mixture in the dish. Preheat the oven and butter a casserole dish.
Stir in cream cheese sour cream onions melted butter salt garlic powder and pepper. Using a spatula fold in 2 cups of cheese then trasfer potatoes to a casserole dish. Turn off the stove and add 1 ½ sticks of butter an 8-ounce package of cream cheese and about ½ cup of half-and-half.
Place on the stove top not on the hot eye to let them dry. Place mashed potatoes in a large bowl. Bring to a boil.
When the potatoes have finished draining place them back into the dry pot and put the pot on the stove. Add butter half and half and sour cream to mashed potatoes and mix with hand mixer. Add butter milk sour cream salt and pepper.
